…And are they ever stunning! The new crystal shapes and colors focus on Earth – her beauty and her bounty – for Spring Summer! Because materials found in the Earth offer beautiful inspiration for crystal combinations, creating a fresh, new look. And with the design world currently showing much more positivity – fresh, strong colors, playful details and the reappearance of print – as well as with an interest in happiness on the rise, both in business and our personal life, we realized that it is the simple things in life, that being at home in nature, is what makes us truly happy.
Thus, the five trend themes for Spring/Summer sparkle and glitter with positive energy and optimism reflecting the Earth and her natural beauty. This season it is literally time to shine.

Here’s a glimpse of a few of the new color Innovations for Spring/Summer 2012:

Chrysolite Opal (top) is a soft, serenely pleasing color that enhances any palette from neutrals through to deeply intense colors. Its sophisticated opalescence gives a romantic, ethereal edge. It is extremely versatile.

Crystal Bronze Shade (bottom) is directly in tune with the strong design trend towards Metallics. Elegant and sophisticated, it also adds strength and depth to any design. Extremely versatile, it can be used in everything from glamorous evening wear through to tough utility wear.

We just received a new shipment of Swarovski Elements Crystal Mesh in the color ‘crystal moonlight’. This fabric-like mesh is what we use in some of our most popular handmade jewelry styles, such as the Indigo Star ‘alchemy’ necklace and the ‘ayre’ earrings. This is a picture of the mesh as it comes from the Swarovski Elements factory. The tiny, faceted crystals are embedded into the silver mesh carrier and we use our “magic” to turn this material into the sparkly finished product you love to wear!

Even though we got hit with a late winter flurry and Vancouver is covered in white, Winter is on the way out and Spring is around the corner! My favourite part of Spring is the colors it brings.
